To utilize the Singular Key Authenticator, users must first activate two-step verification on their online accounts, such as those with Google, Facebook, or GitHub. This app introduces an additional security layer beyond traditional passwords. Registration typically involves a straightforward process of scanning a QR code provided by the relevant web application.

After completing registration, users can log in securely by entering the verification code generated by the app. Notably, this process does not require an active cellular or network connection, enhancing convenience during login attempts.

Furthermore, the authenticator application serves as an effective companion to Singular Key’s FIDO-certified authentication service, bolstering security through passwordless multi-factor authentication methods.
